If you’re already totally over the elaborate manual research method I covered in the book, here are some paid options! If you have budget to spare, you might want to try each one of these out and see which one you like the best. I have used all of them and am recommending them in order of preference.
My first choice is EZ Pub Profits, which is a phenomenal (and totally affordable) monthly service. Every month, they send you a detailed report with niches, book ideas, and numbers to back it all up. You can’t do much better than a totally done-for-you service, and this one is it. I have used them for several years and always love getting their monthly email. This is basically a low-content book concierge service.
My next recommendation is BookBeam, which is a really popular niche-finding software. BookBeam is the most expensive niche-finding tool, but it does get some amazing results for people so it’s worth a try!
You can also use the KDPSpy Chrome Extension, which is now included with BookBolt, and all of the great tools inside of BookBolt to find and validate your niches. You might already have a BookBolt subscription to make interiors or covers, so it’s fine to use that for research as well.
You might have heard of Publisher Rocket for things like keyword research and categories, but what you might not know is that you can also use it to validate niches! Publisher Rocket will show you the estimated search volume of a given keyword as well as what they think is the competitive score. I have actually been conducting an experiment where I run keywords through there, then re-validate them using the Self Publishing Titans Keyword Niche Score plugin I mention in the book, and the results are pretty consistent.n
